(23 November 2011) A new page has been added to the website containing Introductions to the Conflict as well as major sub-topics. The Intros are from the Peace & Justice organizations and Media organizations which we are promoting as trustworthy alternative sources of the news and information about the conflict, which are presented more fully on another page.
(4 September 2011) A third column has been added to the Homepage - containing News Headlines about the conflict in Palestine, in chronological order. The idea is that information about the conflict can now be found sorted by both general topics and by events occurring in the news.
(7 March 2011) The Media Monitoring system has been put on hold until we have the resources to implement it completely. Thus we are now just an information system with the goal of getting to the American media, activists, public and politicians all of the excellent information products produced by the many excellent research organizations, think tanks and peace and justice and human rights organizations found throughout the world whom are concerned about peace and justice in the Middle East.
(6 December 2008) Other Websites with online Action Alert systems are now listed on the Homepage in the Activism column. This list is gathered from the list of Media Watchdog groups listed on the Links page.
(9 September 2008) New format and mission for the
Action Alerts begins. Now the Action Alerts provide weekly
summaries of the week's reporting on the Middle East conflict,
pinpointing where the reporting made mistakes or demonstrated
bias to which the readers can then send email responses. The
Action Alerts are now listed on the Homepage.
(4 August 2008) Introductory paragraphs are added to the website for the 4 Special Projects
of the Palestine Media Project. Links are from the HomePage.
(21 July 2008) Archive of past Action Alerts is added to the
website.
(15 July 2008) All Media Monitoring results and Information Resources are now directly accessible
on the Home Page for easy access, below the large logo. This replaces the Information Resource Page
installed on June 8. Links to the Information Resources are outlined on the Home Page. The resources
are organized according to the issues listed in the outline on the Home Page. The resources include
newspaper articles, online reports and FAQs, and lists of offline publications such as books and journal
articles. The goal of this re-organization is to create an easily accessible centralized
resource for reporters and researchers - for everyone.
(8 June 2008) An Information Resource Page is added to the website, which is issue-specific.
(27 May 2008) The website is restructured. Articles and information
resources are grouped according to the issues involved,
in addition to being listed chronologically. This is done to facilitate
their use for research and developing advocacy materials.
(19 May 2008) Links to the major human rights/peace organizations
in Palestine/Israel have been added to the Important
Links page. Scanning of their websites for important or
relevant reports or studies will begin soon. Results will
be posted to the Information Resources page.
(09 May 2008) Action Alerts have been split up into 5 categories: Blogs,
News Articles, News Tips,
Opinion & Analysis, and
Wire Service articles.
(17 April 2008) Action Alerts listed on the Action Alert page expanded beyond those emailed out in the weekly Action Alert Email Service.
(17 April 2008) Page about strategic and
operational information about Action Alerts added to the PMP Website.
